What is
Alkaline Water?
Alkaline water is also known as Kangen water in
Japan and literally means "return to original."
Alkaline water has been used in Japan for more
than 40 years and has been shown to help restore
the body to its original, healthy condition.
When tested for
ORP
(oxidizing reduction potential), it shows a NEGATIVE reading. It has an adjustable pH
reading of 8.5 - 9.5, making it alkaline, which
is the opposite of acidic.
Alkaline Water is the alkaline part -- with
settings of 8.5, 9, and 9.5
How are the machines
sold?
The machines are sold through direct sales --

when you decide to take positive action, we help

How is the water made?
The process for making the water is very
simple. The machine simply connects to your
faucet, you turn on the power, then the faucet
and the magic begins. The regular tap water
is initially purified by the internal
filter
and then ionized via electrolysis. This
results in the water being separated into two
types: alkaline (hydrogen-rich) and acidic (oxygen-rich).
And all this combines to give the alkaline water
a pure, fresh taste which keeps you hydrated and
tastes better than any water you've had before.
Better yet, you can make as much of it as
you want, saving you dollar after dollar
that would have previously been spent on bottled
water that is just no substitute.

What has
the Japanese Research shown?
This is a medically tested and proven
approach to preventive action. The Japanese
Ministry of Health - the equivalent of the FDA
here in the USA - is very strict. They reject
application after application for pharmaceutical
drugs, and yet have approved the Kangen Water
Machine units as medical devices. Keep this in
mind. This isn't just an appliance for your
home, it's a medical device.

What are the uses of
Alkaline/acidic water?
- Drinking water. To keep the body
properly hydrated and assist with colon
function.
For taking supplements. Alkaline
water has outstanding dissolving, extracting
and anti-oxidizing properties that will
enhance the effectiveness of any supplements
you may be taking.
As a skin toner. Use mild acid
5.5 pH water as a skin toner to give your
skin a healthy, radiant shine.
After consuming alcohol. Dilute
the acidity of the alcohol and prevent
hangovers. Use alkaline water ice cubes with
your drinks and ingest a sufficient quantity
of alkaline water before bed to prevent a
hangover.
For drinking during meals. When
eating acidic foods such as meat, egg yolks,
white bread, etc, drinking kangen water will
help balance the pH.
For brewing tea and coffee.
Alkaline water prevents tannin in the tea
and allows the tea to infuse fully, creating
a rich color and taste. In coffee, kangen
brings out the aroma, color and naturally
acidic taste. Only half the amount of coffee
beans are required to create the same full
taste.
For cooking. Alkaline water can
be used to soak vegetables and meats,
eliminating the strong smells of onions or
any game meat, for example. Alkaline water
will bring out the natural flavors in
vegetables as well as a rich color in
spinach and other greens. This natural
flavor will require less stocks and
seasonings to be used. Kangen also has
stronger heat conduction than regular water,
effectively cutting as much as 30% from
cooking times. There are an estimated 30,000
restaurants and eateries in Japan already
using Alkaline water to prepare their food
and the quality and cleanliness of Japanese
food is world-renowned.
For cut flowers and plants.
Plants experience great results when watered
with ionized water. The life of cut flowers
can be lengthened and health restored to
sick plants. Seeding and germination are
also enhanced using the water and for
varieties such as roses, which require a
more acidic environment, simply select an
acidic setting of water for use.
For pets. Unpleasant odors from
both their bodies and waste will be
eliminated. They will also experience the
same great health benefits as humans.
For Artists and Painters.
Alkaline water is exceptional when mixing
paints. Colors are more vibrant and a
smoother texture is created. The brush
glides across the surface with ease.
As an anti-bacterial cleaner. Use
the the acidic water setting to create a
100% safe and natural anti-bacterial
cleaner. Kills 99.9% of bacteria on contact.
Can also be sprayed directly onto the skin
and into the throat to prevent a cold. Also
ideal as a 100% safe alternative for
bathrooms, baby areas and toys.
As an all-purpose cleaner. Use
the the strong alkaline water setting to
create a natural, chemical free cleaner for
glass, tiles, bench tops, etc.
The uses are many, but the single
greatest benefit remains improved intestinal and
colon health. As you already know, a large
portion of the free radicals in your body are
created by a toxic colon. Free radicals also
account for 70% of chronic diseases, such as

What is the basic, correct way of
drinking Kangen water(TM)?
There are no set rules regarding how to drink
Kangen water or
how much to consume, but there appear to be two
main ways. The first is for people who are
healthy and have a structured lifestyle and
steady daily rhythm. Such individuals can drink
Kangen water
anyway they want. (No such thing as "too
much")
The second way is for individuals who are
ill, weak, or generally inactive and trying to
benefit from the four effects of Kangen water
(recognized by the Ministry of Health, Labor and
Welfare) to improve medical conditions. In this
case, it is best to drink small amounts (1/2 of
a cup) every 30 minutes or so. Individuals who
drink a cup of freshly made Kangen water
in the morning, and just before bed are less
likely to suffer from the rebound phenomena.
How do we begin drinking Kangen water?
It is most common to begin by setting a low
pH level (between pH8 and pH9.0), and gradually
increasing the amount of intake. After
continuing regular intake for about two weeks,
gradually adjust the pH level and amount of
intake (between pH9.0-pH9.5) based on your
bodily needs and physical condition. The Kangen
water should be
as fresh as possible. For children or seniors,
set the pH level at an even lower level upon
starting, and gradually increase it as the body
adjusts to the current pH level. In the case of
infants (until about a year old), since breast
milk or milk is the only thing they consume, the
intestinal movement is generally different from
adults, and the use of Kangen water
is not encouraged until the infant begins to
consume more sophisticated foods. In any case,
Kangen water
should not be used to make powdered milk for
infants.
What is the white
fogginess in Kangen water?
The
white fogginess apparent in Kangen water
is simply a result of hydrogen gas being
released through electrolysis, and does not pose
a problem. If you rest the glass for a while the
white fogginess should disappear. Research
focused on dissolved hydrogen released through
electrolysis of water was presented at The Japan
Functional Water Association Meeting

in late December of 2002. It reported that
Kangen water is
effective in controlling the oxidation of lipids
in the body. It also reported that dissolved
hydrogen

present
in the colloidal

state has a higher activity level than active
hydrogen
4 produced
at the instance of reaction. Based on this
report, the need for broader data collection and
further scientific analysis was recognized.
Why does Kangen water
sometimes smell?
Unpurified water has minerals in it. LeveLuk is
designed to handle a standard amount of
minerals. When the amount of minerals or free
carbon dioxide
is greater than
usual, the minerals occasionally react with the
anti-bacterial feature of the water supply hose,
giving off a smell.
How many years does the electrolysis cell remain
effective?
The electrode plate in LeveLuk's electrolysis
cell is thicker and larger than other companies'
products. The appliance is designed this way in
order to increase electrolysis capacity and
durability. Another important reason is to
guarantee the production of maximum volumes of
water. The electrode plate is made of top
quality titanium, and the welded terminals are
plated with white gold. Needless to say, due to
this choice of materials, the electrode plate is
completely rustproof. The electrolysis cell is
to a water production appliance what the engine
generator is to a car. We can recommend our
products with the utmost confidence because we
use only the best materials. Our electrolysis
cell and control (PCB) secures a high ORP, and
produces safe, healthy and delicious water. The
automatic cleaning mechanism ensures that the
electrolysis cell is always clean, and it should
last 15 years.
What is the difference between LeveLuk's
electrolysis cell and those of other companies?
Electrolysis of water requires high quality
electrolysis plates, and its size, thickness,
and number becomes crucial in maintaining
durability. The "double cross line" method
is
used by other companies. In these appliances,
two small electrolysis cells are used in turn to
provide resting time, but this limits the volume
of water than can be produced at one time.
LeveLuk on the other hand, has five or seven
electrolysis plates, the largest number in the
industry, and while maintaining durability via
their large surface area and thickness, they
allow the appliance to produce large volumes of
water (maximum Kangen water (TM):
0.8-2.0 gallons/minute). Every function, such as supplying voltage according to
switching of the pH setting and producing highly
acidic water in the same electrolysis cell, is
carefully monitored by the microcomputer. It
ensures that the appliance can be used safely
for a long period of time. We recommend that you
produce "beauty water" once a day for at least
three minutes to improve the appliance's
durability.
What is
the proper method of strong Kangen water(TM)/strong
acidic water, and how long do they last?
Among the five
types of water produced by LeveLuk, the two
types for drinking (purified water / Kangen water)
can go bad due to the container or temperature,
because chlorine, which works as a bactericide,
has been removed from the water. For this
reason, greater care must be given to the
storing of purified water and Kangen water.
Please keep these two types of water in the
refrigerator for no more than 5 days and replace
the water in your take-out bottle everyday. For
water used for domestic purposes, including
acidic water, strong acidic water and strong
Kangen water,
less care is required, but we recommend changing
your supply once a week. To store, please place
the water in a lightproof container, fill it to
the very top to avoid unnecessary contact with
air, and store it in a cool, dark place (the
refrigerator is ideal).
Why
doesn't Kangen water
turn the pH testing solution blue (purple)?
Kangen water
produces a yellow/green color (neutral reading)
in pH testing solutions even if it made on the
setting for pH 9.5. This phenomenon is often
observed in areas where well water is used. This
is caused by the carbon dioxide in well water,
which is produced from decomposing organic
matter. Carbon dioxide readily dissolves in
water, making it acidic. Water with carbon
dioxide can be electrolyzed, however, the carbon
dioxide is neutralized during the process.
Therefore the water tests neutral on the pH
scale. Driving out the carbon dioxide from
Kangen water
will result in the Kangen water
expressing blue in pH test liquid. When
measuring the pH using a pH testing solution,
place a few drops in the flask before pouring in
freshly made Kangen water.
There is carbon dioxide in your Kangen water
if the color turns blue initially, but
eventually turns yellow.
Even water that
tests neutral has been through the electrolytic
process and has the benefits.
Do you recommend we
only drink Alkaline water and forget about other
supplements?
In general, we believe we need to do 4 things
daily:
